4U Cuts & Product: a booking and shop app for a barber
A barber was taking every booking over WhatsApp. We built him an app his customers book through, live on the UK App Store, with his own 4U Hair Products range for sale in the same place.
The brief
Bookings by message meant replying at all hours, double-checking the diary and chasing no-shows. On top of the chair, he sells his own range of clays, creams and sprays, which had its own separate shop.
He wanted one place for both: customers see a real free time, book it in seconds and put a deposit down, and he runs his diary and his stock from his phone.
What we built
Booking that can't clash
Customers only ever see genuinely free times, worked out from his real opening hours. The database itself refuses an overlapping booking, so two people can never land in the same slot.
Deposits by Apple Pay or card
A £10 deposit at booking, taken through Square. If he cancels, it is refunded automatically.
Reminders on their phone
The app sends a reminder the night before, or a couple of hours ahead for a same-day cut.
His product range, in stock
The full 4U range with photography and prices. When something sells out on his website it switches off in the app on its own.
An admin he runs himself
Diary, cancellations, stock and deposit takings, all from his own login, with no need to call us.
Through Apple's review
Accounts, account deletion, privacy and support pages, all done properly, so it passed App Store review and is live in the UK.
